About Me

My photo
I am just one mom blogging my thoughts, observations, and concerns. There is no right or wrong to much of this; this is simply what I believe in, what I have found out on my own through my own experiences, and what I have discovered through my own research. I will share tips and tricks, educational pieces, and I will bring light and attention to concerns. This is a family friendly blog and a place for support and encouragement. Negativity, attacking, judging, and cursing is tacky and will not be tolerated.

It's Ok, You're Not Alone

We all seem to know one mom who seems to always have her ducks in a row, is always prepared, her house is always clean, garden and flower bed looks professional, she talks about all the dinners she's made from scratch over the past few months, all the cakes and pies and wonderful things she's baked, and oh, here's a few perfectly embellished and beautiful scrap books I whipped together in my spare time for you to look through while I knit this winters scarves and hats for my children.

Do not let this woman get to you. Kudos to them for being so perfectly balanced and pulled together but it's ok if you are not! Balancing life is difficult, it comes more easily to some than others, some have more help than others, some prioritize differently, whatever the situation is you feel like you're struggling and always scattered and always behind and you are not alone.

You're a new mom or maybe you've been a mom, a few times over even, are you tired, overwhelmed, full of anxieties/worries, sleepless, spread thin, completely fatigued and drained because you refuse to "sleep train" your baby and let him/her cry it out or because you are sleep training your toddler/child and he/she is really testing your limits, do you have dirty dishes in the sink, laundry still in the dryer that you keep restarting to get the wrinkles out but seem like you never have the time to actually fold them, do you feel like you're head is barely above water? You feel like you are always late, you are always rushing, you usually forget something at home, you may have dried food on your clothes when you do finally get there, or realize your shirt is inside out or your socks don't match. It's ok, you're not alone. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves and remind each other that it's ok that the garden didn't get weeded....or even planted this summer.... It's ok that you just got your spring flower bed in and pretty even though it's almost fall. It is ok that you cannot make dinner every night of the week and it is ok that you pick dinner up!
